• How you store your vehicle also affects your wipers. UV radiation will eventually break down your wipers causing them to crack or changing the surface contact of the blades on the windshield so that they do not remove water or pollen or debris from the glass. • Areas that are extremely hot, cold, or that have drastic changes between the two can cause your wiper blades to expand, contract, and get brittle, which can cause them to crack or break.

Signs That You Need a Wiper Replacement
